Magnetic field — component of the electromagnetic field, appearing when there is a time-varying electric field. In addition, a magnetic field can be created by the current of charged particles or the magnetic moments of electrons in atoms (permanent magnets). From the perspective of quantum field theory, electromagnetic interaction is carried by a massless boson-photon (a particle that can be represented as a quantum excitation of the electromagnetic field). The main characteristic of the magnetic field is its strength, determined by the magnetic induction vector (magnetic induction vector). In SI, magnetic induction is measured in teslas (T), in the CGS system in gauss.
