Magnetic flux - , the flux of the magnetic induction vector B through any surface. Magnetic flux through a small area dS, within which vector B is unchanged, is equal to dF = VndS, where Bn - the projection of the vector onto the normal to the area dS. Magnetic flux Ф through a finite surface is equal to the integral of dF over this surface. For a closed surface, the magnetic flux is zero, reflecting the absence in nature of magnetic charges - sources of the magnetic field.
