Conversion of number systems
Our free online calculator offers you an excellent unit converter, which will allow you to smoothly convert from one unit to another.
Fortunately or unfortunately, historically it has developed that in everyday life we mostly use the decimal system, with ten digits from 0 to 9. For example, in the binary system, there are only two digits, 0 and 1. Examples of such numbers can be: 0, 1, 10, 11, 100, 110, 101, 111, 1000, etc. Usually, to understand which system a number is written in, it is indexed, like this: 1012 = 510. This means that 101 in the binary system is 5 in decimal. Whereas, in the octal system, counting digits goes from 0 to 7, and so on.
Moreover, it is important to note that often when calculating an example on ordinary calculators, we completely forget that they do not account for fractions or decimals, and by chance, they can lead to an erroneous answer.
