Calculation of Cable Cross-Section by Power and Current

With this calculator, you can calculate the required wire or cable cross-section based on current or specified power.
Calculation of cable cross-section by power load or consumed current is based on PUE for wires and cables with rubber and polyvinyl chloride insulation, most commonly used in electrical installation works up to 1 kV, when operating in open air, in pipes, and boxes.

The calculation is made both for permissible voltage losses and for permissible continuous current. As a result, the maximum obtained cross-sectional value from the standard range up to 120 mm is displayed².
For direct current cosφ=1; 1 phase.
