Exhaust power

For a self-calculation, you can use the following formula: P=S*H*12

P – is the power;
S – equals the area;
H – ceiling height:
12 – value, which is the SES norm. In the kitchen, the air is refreshed 10 to 15 times per hour, with the average value used in the formula.

Type of premises
Room area m2
Ceiling height cm

Exhaust power calculation example, with the data:
Area = 15m²
Height = 2.7m
We have the following calculations: 15*2,7*12=486

But additional parameters are always considered:
• If food burns, additional power is required, so the reserve is from 10% up to 20%;
• The distance from the shaft to the exhaust itself is considered, with an additional 10 for each meter%;
• If there are bends in the pipe, for each + 10%.
