Metal weight

When calculating metal weight independently, there is no single formula. Reference books and standards are needed to obtain the required data. Each type of metal rolling requires individual calculations, and each material has its own density. The only data available for use in the formula are length and diameter.

Calculate the specific weight of any metal product: wire, sheet, angle, channel, reinforcement, plate, and other types of rolling.

The calculator calculates the weight of such material types as: titanium, stainless steel, brass, copper, aluminum, bronze, magnesium, etc.

Formula for calculating the mass of a T-beam

V=H(bh1+b1h)
Where:
H – fragment height
b – flange width
h1 – T-beam flange
b1 – T-beam web
h – base thickness

Formula for calculating the mass of an I-beam
V=H(aH+2b(c+c1))
Where:
N – length/height;
a – wall thickness;
c – wall thickness;
c1 – thickness at the end.

Formula for calculating the mass of an angle

V=l1H(h1+h2)
Where:
N – length;
l1 – thickness;
h1 and h2 – width of the shelves.
As you can see, each type requires lengthy calculations, so using a calculator can save time and effort.
