Wire weight
To calculate the weight of the wire, you can use a calculator where formulas and correct parameters are entered. But you can also perform all necessary operations yourself, although this will require a bit of time and patience.
Calculation of wire mass
Formula for calculating the weight of the wire
m – calculated weight of 1 meter;
P – constant (3,14);
D – diameter;
G – material density, the following parameters are taken:
Steel – 7850;
Copper – 8890;
Aluminum – 2703.
The material density can be found in standards.
Also for copper and aluminum alloys you can use the following formula:
M – weight of 1m copper and aluminum;
MS – weight of 1m steel product;
Q – density (aluminum – 2703, copper - 8890),
QWith – steel density (7850).
