Pipeline Diameter Calculation

To perform the calculation and find out the diameter of the pipeline, you can use the calculator. The calculation will be performed automatically, achieving the necessary result. Calculations can also be done manually using some formulas.

Speed of the heat carrier
Volume of the heat carrier m3/hr

You can perform the calculation based on the water consumption (of the medium passing through the pipeline), for this, the formula is used:

qc = 5× q0 × α
Where:
qc – value of the consumed medium;
q0 – normalized value.
a – coefficient depending on the probability value.
a = f (N × P)

For probability, the formula is used:

R = qhr µ × u/q0 × 3600 × N
Where:
N – number of consumers, for example, for domestic use, it means devices;
qhr µ - maximum hourly consumption.
u – number of people, for example, for domestic use, those who use plumbing.
And for determining the diameter:
Q = ((πd2)/4)•w
Where:
Q – water flow;
d – pipeline diameter;
w – flow speed.
