Solution of logarithms

A logarithm is a number that can significantly simplify most complex arithmetic operations. If logarithms are used in calculations instead of numerical values, more complex arithmetic operations can be replaced by simpler ones.

A logarithm represents the power to which the base must be raised to obtain the argument. It is very important to remember two key points. First, the base must always differ from one, as a number one in any power remains one. Second, both the base and argument must be greater than zero. These restrictions are called the domain of permissible values.

The process of calculating a logarithm is called logarithmation. The base for a logarithm can be any number, except one.
