Paint consumption when painting walls and ceilings
The online paint consumption calculator will help you correctly determine the necessary amount of coloring medium: water-based, silicone, acrylic, plastic, latex, flexible paint, as well as enamel.
Usually, paint is purchased at a rate of 2 liters of paint per 10 meters, but we will perform a more accurate calculation.
Independent calculations:
To carry out calculations and find out the consumption expected for the walls, the first thing you need – is to find out the perimeter of the room.It can be considered as an example:
Wall length – 5m, and width – 3m. For this, we perform the calculation: (5*2)+(3*2)=16m.
Next, it is necessary to find the area, for this measure the height, which will be painted, for example, 2m, we have: 2*16=32.
It should be taken into account that the room has doors and windows, the area of which must be found and subtracted from the total.
And the last calculations, each type of paint has its own standard consumption which the manufacturer specifies directly on the can. Therefore, the following calculations are based on this data.
