Laminate calculation
Laminate – is one of the most popular floor coverings. However, when choosing, it is important to consider the calculation, which needs to be done before purchasing, to avoid spending extra money. We recommend using an online calculator or performing the calculation yourself using the following formula: K=(S+%S)/Sat
1. K denotes the number of packages with laminate needed for floor laying.
2. S shows the area of the territory.
3. %S – the percentage of material that goes to waste, for example, trimming.
4. Sy – area of material in one package.
The amount % of waste is affected by the laying method – deck or diagonal.
- For deck, add 5 percent;
- For diagonal – 10 percent.
For example, the area of the territory – 20 square meters, laying – diagonal, area in package – 3 square meters.
We calculate:
K=(20+10%)/3=7.33, rounded to 8 packages.
