Prime and composite numbers

As is known, all integers, except 0 and 1, have two or more divisors – this is one and directly the number itself. Prime numbers are those that have no other divisors. There are quite a lot of such numbers.

If, however, a composite number has other divisors, it is called composite or complex. Each composite number can be split into two factors, each of which will necessarily be greater than one. However, prime numbers cannot be factored.

It is also worth noting that the number 1 does not belong to either prime or composite numbers, that is, it is not distinguished by anything special. And all this because the number 1 has only one divisor – and this is directly the number 1 itself.
