Line Parallelism

Line parallel to a line, in many cases of engineering calculations, is calculated using the line formula y = mx +b, in which the angular coefficient value remains unchanged m, the shift of the line, observed for the examined line along the axis Y, is removed – b = 0.

As a result, the formula of the line is transformed for the parallel line into y = mx +0. Although parallel lines on a plane and in space can be drawn indefinitely. The formula of the parallel line is calculated for various specific cases (on the plane), including for the characteristic case y = mx + 0.

The parallelism of the newly calculated line with the original line can be verified by checking the proportionality of the coefficients for the variables x and y.
