Arithmetic
Arithmetic – this is the most ancient section of mathematics based on six basic arithmetic operations for practical application of counting techniques. In the elementary mathematics section, both natural and whole numbers, as well as rational numbers, are studied, along with operations on them.
Counting technique primarily involves the ability to sum initial numbers by performing the arithmetic addition operation, as well as subtraction. Multiplication and division are simplifying arithmetic operations of addition and subtraction when repeated multiple times. In addition, initial data in arithmetic can be raised to a power. The inverse task of raising to a power involves root extraction. When performing certain arithmetic operations, terms such as addends, multipliers, factors, difference, subtrahend, minuend, multiplicand, product, divisor, dividend, quotient, base, and exponent, as well as root, are used.
